Sally Noma was a panel speaker at the Claims & Litigation Management Alliance (CLM) Focus Conference on 11.3.2022. In her session, “Cannabis - The Hurdles of Cannabis-Related Claims and Subrogation,” she reviewed potentials for litigation resulting from the expansion of cannabis legalization across the United States.
The CLM Focus event, held 11.2-11.3.22 at the Sheraton Pentagon City Hotel in Washington D.C., covered the most important topics in claims. Noma Law Firm APC is a proud supporter of CLM.

Sally Noma, together with Ulises Castellon of Fire Cause Analysis, will present “Arson Fire – Where Subrogation Burned” on 11.7.2022 at the National Association of Subrogation Professionals (NASP) 2022 Annual Conference in Marco Island, Florida.
The session will illustrate the current state of the art/science of forensic fire investigation and highlight the skills necessary to ensure a thorough and effective fire claim investigation, from ensuring cost-effective utilization of experts to minimizing exposure to legal liability.

The webinar, hosted by Weber Gallagher, will examine the multi-generational workplace success strategies to maintain a productive and inclusive workforce. The panelists will provide an overview of best practices such as creating space for different communication styles, implementing collaborative training, encouraging flexibility, and avoiding stereotyping. The webinar will also examine the wide range of skills, outlooks and experiences age-diverse employees bring to the workplace.

Sally Noma will speak at the Orange Empire Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) Society Chapter and Orange County Risk & Insurance Management Society’s (RIMS) joint annual meeting Aug. 11 at 12:00 PST. Her presentation, “Take the Money & Run – Property Subrogation Recovery Opportunities,” is a complimentary Zoom webinar event for the chapters’ members.
The Orange Empire CPCU Society Chapter is a community that provides resources, educational programs and leadership opportunities to property and casualty insurance professionals. The Orange County RIMS Chapter serves risk management professionals in the Southern California area with opportunities in education, communication, and professional ethics.

Sally Noma will join the faculty of the CLM Alliance (Claims and Litigation Management Alliance) Claims College which will take place in Baltimore, MD 9.7 through 9.10.22. Ms. Noma’s Property College session, “Dashboard Metrics,” will discuss the numerous analytics tools available in property claims, properly documenting the key indicators used in claims management, and how those key indicators impact first party good faith claims management.

Sally Noma has been invited to speak at the National Association of Subrogation Professionals’ (NASP) 2022 Annual Conference held in person this year at the JW Marriott, Marco FL from Nov 6 - 9, 2022. Her presentation, "Arson Fires - Where Subrogation Burned" is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. EST on 11.7.22. The program is designed to illustrate the current state-of-the-art science of forensic fire investigation, minimize exposure to legal liability, and provide tools to ensure complete and proper investigation of fire-related claims.

Sally Noma joined a panel of experts at the Claims Litigation Management Alliance (CLM) 2022 Annual Conference. Ms. Noma spoke at the session entitled “Preserving Subrogation Rights at a Catastrophic Loss Scene” on March 24, discussing the legal pitfalls that can result from an inadequate scene investigation in catastrophic losses which can include loss of subrogation rights, spoliation, or even bad faith. Sally Noma will speak at the Property & Liability Resource Bureau's (PLRB) 2022 Claims Conference & Insurance Services Expo. Her presentation, “Scene Preservation in Property Subrogation,” will explore which claims should have a scene preserved for investigation, cover spoliation issues, provide guidance on how to properly give notice to interested parties with the opportunity to inspect, and discuss interfacing with public investigatory agencies.
This PLRB Claims Conference will feature over 90 sessions in 14 educational tracks including subrogation, large property losses, and catastrophic losses. The Conference will take place over four days, April 3-6, 2022, at the Henry B Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, TX. For more information on the expo, click here.
