Sally Noma was invited to speak to the Orange Empire Chapter of the Society for Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters (CPCU)’s monthly meeting on November 11, 2021. Her presentation focused on creating a culture of identifying and preserving subrogation rights. The CPCU Society provides education and leadership opportunities for risk and insurance professionals. The Orange Empire Chapter serves the needs of CPCU's in and around the Inland Empire and Orange County, California.

Sally Noma will be speaking as a panelist at the 2021 Claims and Litigation Management Conference October 19, 2021 Chicago, Illinois.
During the session, “Bridging Generational Gaps in the Litigation, Insurance, and Claims Industries In 2021,” the panelists will discuss methods of creating connections among the different ages and generations working within the insurance industry, including focusing on shared values to help unify an organization and the people working within it.

An introspective Look at the Industry’s Journey Toward Inclusion” at the Claims and Litigation Management (CLM) Alliance’s Annual Conference Thursday, August 12 in Atlanta. The session will look at diversity and inclusion efforts in the insurance industry and reflect on progress made in the past year as well as address what work still needs to be accomplished.

The Contra Costa County Bar Association (CCCBA) Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee (DEI) is sponsoring “Disability Rights – ‘PERSONALITY LINGO - Learning Your Strengths and Differences Helps You Understand and Work with Others’” at noon on July 29, 2021.
The free 90-minute webinar will be presented by Michael Viola, Assistant Vice President for Facilities at Saint Mary’s College of California. Participants will learn about the Personality Lingo model to discovery more about themselves and adopt ways to be inclusive in their speech, especially when speaking with people who have different values, abilities, and life experiences.

Sally Noma was a guest speaker at the April Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (CPCU) Educational Webinar April 15. The webinar topic, “Building Inclusive Organizations – Everyday Opportunities for Professional Growth,” was aimed at claims professionals wanting to ensure inclusion is a key value expressed in all levels of the organization. The webinar also provided tools to keep inclusivity top of mind and build relationships to benefit carriers and policyholders.

Sally Noma has been invited by the Mid-Valley Claims Association (MVCA) to be a guest speaker at MVCA’s virtual luncheon meeting March 19. The luncheon is the second in a series of MVCA’s Zoom sessions, and Ms. Noma will be delivering a presentation on legal developments in property subrogation.

She discussed networking, mentoring, career-planning for new attorneys, and challenges facing women in litigation. The ACBA Barristers Executive Committee shapes the educational and social programming for the Barristers section, made up of East Bay attorneys in their first ten years of practice.

Noma Law Firm releases a new training video. In this edition Sally Noma discusses how to deal with adverse fire department reports when attempting to resolve subrogation claims in-house. Her instructional video explains how local fire agencies and how investigations are conducted, what it means when a fire agency report has a finding of “undetermined,” and how to reconcile the findings of the origin and cause investigator with the public agency’s findings.
